Naivasha Project
The Naivasha Project was launched in July 2009 with the goal of involving all members of the Grace Community Church family in some aspect of the mission in Kenya – gathering to pray for the mission and event, sending letters out to friends and family asking for donations, running/walking in the race, promoting and advertising the race, planning the festival and kids’ activities, serving on race day on the course or with the festival, and more. Through their letter writing campaign and other creative fund-raising strategies, the Naivasha project seeks, with God’s guidance and help, to raise a large fraction of the $200K needed to complete construction of the orphanage and vocational training facility. Consisting of teams of men and women from GCC having a diverse set of skills, gifts, and experience, the Naivasha Project has come alongside the Grace Race Fund as a much-needed and much-appreciated partner for this season of the project. Their enthusiasm, energy, and excellent work has taken the Grace Race to a new level!
