2010 Grace Race Team Competition Rules and Regulations
- On-line Team Competition registration is available until Friday, October 8, 2010 at 6:00 am.
- To register on-line at Active.com, complete the registrant information and enter your “Club Affiliation” at the bottom of the registration page.
- Changes to registered teams cannot be made after Friday, October 8, 2010.
- Participants must have a current membership with a running club, team or organization.
- The Team Competition will have two divisions: an all-male open division and an all-female open division.
- For communication purposes, only one team manager/captain is allowed for each club.
- Each team member must have submitted an official individual Grace Race application by the date above.
- An individual may only participate for one team.
- Teams must have a minimum of five (5) team members.
- The top five (5) finishers determine a team’s performance and ranking.
- The Grace Race Team Competition scoring will award a point equivalent to the placement of each individual runner among the team competitors. For example, first place will be awarded one (1) point, second place will be awarded two (2) points, third place will be awarded three (3) points, etc.
- The lowest total points awarded to the top five (5) finishers among the Team Competition participants will be crowned the 2010 Grace Race champion.
- Ties between two or more teams will be decided by the overall placement of each team’s sixth place finisher. In the event of extended ties, no more than 10 runners will be scored for each team.
- Teams finishing with fewer than five (5) registered members will not be scored.
- Official results will be announced upon verification on race day.
- The champion team from each division will be awarded the 2010 Grace Race Team Competition trophy.
- All participants in the Team Competition are expected to abide by all Grace Race rules and regulations.
- Failure to abide by these rules and regulations may result in the team’s disqualification from the Team Competition. Disqualification from the team competition may or may not disqualify individual runners from the individual race and any subsequent awards.
